Very sadly, situations arise in which legal issues govern your care. If you have documents expressing your wishes, SecureLife stores who has those documents and their location. This enables faster access for healthcare professionals, and prevents needless and expensive care you may not want.

With about 20% of the United States population not speaking English as a native language, and only 13% of the world population speaking English, we plan to make SecureLife available in the Top 20 languages used worldwide, used by 75% of the world's population. If the need can be shown in an area which uses a language outside the top 20 languages, and translation exists, we'll translate the SecureLife app to that language, too.

If you're unavailable, who cares for your children? Do they know your child's school, teacher, pediatrician, favorite bedtime story, that they can't sleep without their blankie, that they hate lima beans and are allergic to certain laundry detergents?

All that can be stored in the SecureLife app, providing relativately seamless care transition and less disruption to your child's life and routine if you're unavailable for any reason. This can be easily shared with your designated contact(s) who is caring for your child in your absence.

SecureLife will integrate with FitBit ™, Samsung ™ and Apple ™ watches, pulse ox monitors, heart rate monitors, CPAP machines, blood pressure machines – anything with an interface that we can communicate with?

Why would we do this? Well, these devices collect medical data, and some collect sleep and exercise information. If the SecureLife app detects problems, it will automatically do a CheckOn ™ to see if you’re OK. If you don’t respond affirmatively, SecureLife will dispatch assistance. Had this existed at the time, this capability might have saved the life of a longtime family friend, who simply didn’t awake one morning, with no indication that she had any medical issues.

Additionally, the data points can be shared with the Life Log ™ part of the app, and used in conjuction with food, drink, environmental factors and mood to determine if there are any anomalies and give you suggestions to share with your doctor.

There are far too many instances every day when documents that govern your care are unavailable on a moment’s notice when they’re needed. The person who has them may be out of town, and unable to retrieve them.

Instead of, in the initial version of SecureLife, just storing whether or not you have a will, trust, Durable Healthcare Power of Attorney, Do Not Rescuscitate order, Power of Attorney, Final Wishes and plans for your belongings and who has them, in the near future, SecureLife will very securely store the documents themselves. This will ease an already stressful situation and make difficult decisions far less traumatic.

If you live on a farm or ranch, you may have horses or livestock which require care if you’re unavailable. SecureLife enables you to store who their designated caretaker is, their vet, food, medications, exercise schedule, and any other particulars to ensure your animals are well-cared for if you’re unavailable.

Just as with horses and livestock, if you live on a farm or ranch and you’re unavailable, SecureLife enables you to store the type of crops you have, when they were planted, when to harvest, what silo to use, what market to take your crops to for sale, and any other details that ensure your livelihood is well-cared for in your absence.

At some point in the future, we’re probably going to have voice-activated refrigerators, microwaves, and maybe even stoves.

If you have code words set up in your SecureLife app, you can yell any of these code words in the vicinity of any voice-activated appliance that can be connected to the SecureLife app, and SecureLife will summon assistance to your location. This will be especially helpful for domestic violence and elder abuse victims, and those who may have fallen and not have their phone handy. Instead of waiting for their next CheckOn ™, assistance can be summoned immediately.

How many times have you had to go to the doctor over and over again, with the same set of complaints, or new, but related complaints, and the cause of the problem cannot be found?

With SecureLife, it integrates with FitBits, Smart Watches, etc and enables you to daily track exercise, sleep, mood, food, drink, environmental factors (i.e. air quality, cat dander, trees and bushes, laundry detergent, etc.), and medications, then uses an AI engine to analyze the data, looking for patterns. It then suggests possible causes, which you can then share with your doctor. Since there is an existing and worsening shortage of healthcare workers in the United States, and an increase in demand, this saves valuable resources and money in insurance dollars paying for medical visits and tests.

Are you tired of having to go to FedEx Office, Staples or elsewhere to print off a document, sign it, scan it in, and then fax it back to your doctor’s office? Because the entire United States medical system operates on fax machines, but very few people have a landline in their home any more, this is what the process has become to obtain YOUR medical records. Its time consuming, and costly. The process I just described, for a one page fax, can cost $5 or more. 

SecureLife feels your pain in so many ways on this. In a future version, we plan to integrate a fax server, so that records you have in the SecureLife app can be easily sent and received via the technology most common in the US medical community.

There are so many public safety emergencies that happen with little or no notice: tornadoes, mass shootings, and wildfires, just to name a few.

SecureLife plans to integrate with public safety systems so that, if the location from your phone detects that you’re in the area of a public safety emergency, it will automatically CheckOn™ you, to ensure you’re OK. If you don’t respond, or respond that you need help, SecureLife will then share your location with first responders, so they know where to start looking for you.

Bonus round: If you are unable to evacuate yourself, due to being bedridden, on crutches, in a wheelchair, or unable to drive for any reason, SecureLife can seamlessly transmit that information, too, so that assistance can be sent to you to help you evacuate.
